Boarding Schools

The boarding schools of Beit Ekstein are therapeutic-rehabilitative frameworks which aim at constituting a supporting and strengthening home environment for children and adolescents in order to make sure they enjoy a sense of belonging and security.
A major part of the objectives of these frameworks is to assist the students in the preparations for an independent life by means of developing personal, interpersonal and functional skills and by establishing community functioning skills. We aim to encourage the development of life skills which will assist in improving the emotional, mental and social functioning along with focusing on providing support in the instructional context, within the boarding schools.
Another objective is to allow the students a space in which they will be able to experience themselves anew as possessors of capabilities and potential, this by therapeutic reference and the acquisition of tools intended for contending with difficulties and challenges experienced by the students.
As an integral part of the work concept in boarding schools, we regard the students' families as an important and significant part of our doing and the therapeutic process. We encourage this connection and strive to achieve a fruitful and developing cooperation.
