"Begin" is a unique project which is intended for young people with high-functioning autism, aged 18 – 23. The project has been established in order to allow a gradual adaptation to the labor market and its requirements and it provides a professional supporting envelope.
We are basing on the understanding that, similar to their peers, young people with autism also require diverse experiences in order to examine and explore their occupational preferences.
Throughout the entire project, diverse workshops and activities are carried out, such as: visits at workplaces, meetings with professionals and study sessions on diverse subjects. The participants acquire theoretical knowledge and exercise the knowledge that has been acquired by means of simulations.
Joining the placement services is carried out through the Social Services Office at the relevant Local Authority and it is conditional upon their approval.
